MORCA

Rode my first wednesday evening ride @ 8th & gigling.  I opted to bring the 1×1 instead of the Superlight…shoulda brought the Superlight.  I guess I did well @ the beginning of the ride and then kinda pooped out about mid to end of the ride.  I ended up switching bikes with Chris (nice bike dude, hope i didn’t kill your ride).  Near the end of the ride I had picked up some speed and launched myself off a whoop-dee-do and saw the ground closing into my face…BLACKOUT! 

According to Peter I was knocked unconscious for a few minutes.  When I finally became conscious, all I remember was looking up @ faces circling around me like little tweety birds (DNF). The next thing I know I was bumping around in the back of an SUV.  Then off to ER I went.  Had a CT & Xray of my head & neck.  Luckily, negative for bleeding or cracks.  But the gold plate in my head did shift to the right a little.  I ended up with one big fat lip and a bump on my forehead.  Luckily for me, my nose doesn’t stick out so much (barely at all) otherwise it would be sideways right now.

 I was hoping to share my Anchor Steams on ice with you guys @ the end…OH well maybe next time.  Thanks guys (females included) for taking care of me when I was down…literally.  Peter, hope ya got enough beauty sleep the night before work–thanks for the ER trip.

MOUNTAIN BIKES RULE

This weekend I went to the Demo forest with my bro Rudy.  The trails were in primo shape.  We only had time for one lap so we went down ridge to Braille.  Both trails were in perfect shape.  I am always amazed by how fun these trails are.  Especially now before the trails start to get dusty and the temp gets warm.  Definately need to get back up there soon.  Did a quick solo goat ride on Sunday.  Had fun there too.

In an effort to get some activity on MORCA’s blog, its been suggested we use it as a sort of story board. Have an interesting encounter while out on the trails? Ride something new and exciting for you? Come across any interesting animals while out on the trails?
