It’s that time of year again… you have a seat at the table to help shape the future of mountain biking in Monterey County during the year ahead.
We need your input on next year’s Board of Directors! Nominations will go onto the annual ballot and MORCA Members will vote during the month of October.
Are you interested in getting more involved with local mountain bike advocacy? Do you know someone who has the passion and skills to make a difference? Do you?!
We need you to nominate someone who can help the growth of MORCA… or consider nominating yourself! There’s only one way to get more involved in local MTB advocacy – get more involved!

Before nominating someone, please check with them about their availability. The term is through the end of next year (2026). The minimum time commitment is 1 meeting per month, but could be more depending on your areas of interest.
We’re looking for Board members who will:
- Maintain an active/current IMBA/MORCA Membership.
- Collaborate on communications, planning, and organization.
- Participate in some MORCA events such as Trail Work, First Saturday Rides, or special events.
- Be passionate about promoting our mission: MORCA is an organized voice for responsible mountain biking in Monterey County. We are committed to conserving the lands on which we ride and to building, sharing, and enhancing inclusive mountain biking opportunities for our diverse community. We engage a broad audience by supporting cycling-based outdoor recreation opportunities for all ages and backgrounds, advocating for trail access, maintaining trails, and fostering goodwill within our community.
- Be objective and act in the best interest of our membership.
Once elected, the 2026 Board will self-organize into 7 volunteer roles: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and 3 “Members at Large.”
