ekly Night Ride
Starting Wednesday October 10th, 2018 and ending Wednesday March 6th, 2019 you are invited to go Night Riding with MORCA!
This is a permitted ride with the Bureau of Land Management and there is a nominal permit fee of $6 per rider.
Please review the Permit and approved trail routes at this link. 2018 MORCA Night Riding Stipulations. You should print out a copy to carry with you on the ride.
Note: Due to the ongoing Army clean up efforts we will not be meeting at 8th and Gigling this year but rather all night rides will meet at Creekside Terrace.
You may pay by PayPal or Credit Card using the PayPal button at the bottom of the page. After you pay with PayPal you will be returned to the sign up page.

The Waiver from the MORCA website must be signed, dated and delivered to a MORCA elected official or designated person.
Rides will start at Creekside Terrace for this night ride season!!
Meet at the parking area for the designated ride location at 5:45pm Sharp!
Ride will be a no drop group ride with leader and sweep. You must be self supported with properly functioning equipment and bring adequate lighting systems to join the ride.
Helmets are required!!!

SANTA CRUZ CITY PARKS AND OPEN SPACES CLOSED FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO EXTREME FIRE DANGER!

"With wildfires raging in Southern and Northern California, and after successfully containing several recent, suspicious fires in Santa Cruz, the Santa Cruz Fire Chief has announced the urgent need to close the Wildland Urban Interface (the City’s greenbelt open space) areas surrounding the City of Santa Cruz until weather conditions and fuel moisture levels improve. Impacted areas are as follows:
- Pogonip
- Arana Gulch
- Moore Creek
- DeLaveaga with the exception of the golf course and any permitted events
- Arroyo Seco (also known as "Stinky Trail" or "Sewers")
This closure is necessary because of the extreme fire behavior that has been observed, coupled with the significant number of fires that have occurred in these areas. Police and Fire Investigators have aggressively investigated every fire, which has resulted in five arrests in the past four weeks."
