MORCA teamed up with Monterey County Parks to install trail numbers and signs in the popular “Happy Trails” area of Fort Ord. These trails are heavily used by bikers and equestrians but do not currently have signage or assigned numbers.
MORCA’s 2025 MC Gives campaign kicked off fundraising for this signage project on county land south of 8th & Gigling trailhead. Thanks to generous donations through this campaign, we’ve already raised $9,959 toward this project.
Both the restrooms and signage projects are hugely beneficial to our greater Fort Ord trails community. But equally important is the partnership that MORCA continues to build with Monterey County Parks, and the assistance MORCA and our MTB community are providing. Without a doubt, the goodwill and financial contributions we’re building up will serve us well when the county has an opportunity to step up its support of MTB.
