Night rides are back, and the New Year is upon us – 2026 is poised to deliver more and better rides for our local MTB community. Let’s GOOO!!!!
Thanks to some handy work by board member Ken Chrismen and some helpful due process from our partners at the Bureau of Land Management, MORCA got the green light to bring back organized night rides in Fort Ord. We kicked things off with a great turnout December 17 – keep your eyes on MORCA socials for upcoming rides departing from 8th & Gigling trailhead at 6pm. As always, MORCA’s First Saturday social rides will continue into the year ahead. These rides are a welcoming way to get acquainted with Fort Ord trails and the local MTB community. Typically, the group breaks up into smaller rides of varying distance and difficulties, and all groups stay true to the “no-drop” theme, so nobody is left behind.
