Send any questions to trailcrewleader@morcamtb.org
When: 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, October 17th, 2026. (followed by lunch)
What: We’ll be working to re-establish the trail corridor and improve sight lines on trails 38 and 39 on the Fort Ord National Monument using hand tools and string trimmers.
Where: Meet at Creekside Terrace Trailhead where we’ll get signed in and ready to roll. We’ll drive into the trail work area from there. Arrive early so we can get started at 9 AM.
Can’t make the third Saturday? Trail crew leaders are leading small groups on weekdays. Typically, Tuesday’s at 9 AM and Thursday’s at 3 PM. If interested email trailcrewleader@morcamtb.org.
Volunteer Positions:
Trail Crew Volunteers will use hand tools to complete trail work (no experience needed).
Trail Crew Leaders will supervise a group of four to six volunteers and should have training and experience in trail building. Trail crew leaders should plan to arrive around 8:30 AM to help coordinate and be ready to go at 9 AM.
Lunch Volunteer – Don’t have the time or ability to help with trail work? Coordinate with MORCA to pick up lunch and bring it to the meet up location at 1 PM.
Long pants, gloves and eye protection suggested. Close toe shoes required.
The Waiver from the MORCA website must be signed, dated and given to the trail crew leader before the start of trail work. If under 18 you must have your waiver signed by an adult and should come with a parent or guardian (Waiver for minor plus parent signature).
